Another election year is upon us and like every two years I’m stuck with a dilemma of who to vote for.
The democrats make it tough because of their pro-abortion and big government policies. The Republicans make it tough because of the party symbol. What? Because of the party symbol?
Take a look
THE NEW GOP SYMBOL
I guess I’ll just have to hold my nose and take plenty of Rolaids…again!
(I think this one may come out by prayer and fasting)

Kassam kills as Ashton tours Gaza.
The Kassam rocket that killed a Thai worker in the Netiv Ha’asara area on Thursday was launched shortly after EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton became the highest level international official to enter the Gaza Strip in a year.
Ashton, upon exiting the Strip a few hours later, issued a statement saying, “I’m extremely shocked by the rocket attack and the tragic loss of life. I said when I came to Israel that part of the reason for my trip to this region is to express my concern that we move as quickly as we can to proximity talks. I urge everyone to continue to work in that direction and to make sure these incidents cannot deter us from finding a lasting peace for this region.”
So Ashton is shocked? Why? After all when Israel so foolishly handed over the Gaza in 2005 it was suppose to create peace with the Palestinians. Right?
Of course the world’s solution to this problem is for Israel to give up more land for “peace”. See what happens when people don’t study their Bibles? They become “shocked” when the descendants of Ishmael wage war with the descendants of Isaac.

EUobserver / Europe lacks resources to tackle cross-border crime, says Eurojust.
EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS – Fighting cross-border crime in the EU still faces “practical difficulties” due to scarce resources in member states and the ability of criminals to move freely from one country to another, Eurojust’s new chief Aled Williams told MEPs on Wednesday (17 March).
One way to fix this would be to have a justice system that transcends all member states and I think that’s the direction that this will head towards.
The Lisbon Treaty has something to add!
One way to solve these problems would be to transform Eurojust into a European Prosecutor’s office. According to the Lisbon Treaty, the new legal framework of the EU, this is possible but requires the consent of all member states.
Here’s a little information about Eurojust
Even though Eurojust seems ineffective at the moment, we can see the foundation of a singular justice system being put together in the EU. This would go nicely with a revived type of Roman Empire that will be in place during the last days.

Obama runs out of patience with Israel – Middle East, World – The Independent.

The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday strongly defended Jewish settlement construction in East Jerusalem in the face of US pressure and what one of his own top diplomats described as the worst crisis in relations with Washington for more than three decades.
A defiant Mr Netanyahu appeared to be digging in despite clear indications that the Obama administration is now demanding the scrapping of plans for 1,600 new Jewish homes, whose announcement overshadowed last week’s visit to Israel by the US Vice-President Joe Biden. Mr Netanyahu’s stance appeared to guarantee, after a highly charged week, the protraction of a stand-off in which a full-scale diplomatic row blew up at the start of Mr Biden’s visit and appeared to abate at the end of it. But it was then reignited by demands from Hillary Clinton and an angry White House that Israel make amends for the “insulting” announcement just as indirect negotiations with the Palestinians had finally been arranged.

‘All PMs since ’67 built in J’lem’.
“Over the past 40 years, there has not been a government in Israel that agreed to limit building in Jerusalem,” Netanyahu said, ticking off the name of every prime minister since Golda Meir and making a clear reference to the furor over last week’s announced plans to build 1,600 units in Ramat Shlomo, which has triggered harsh censure from the US.
Referring to all the new Jewish neighborhoods built beyond the 1967 borders in Jerusalem, Netanyahu said, “All of our governments built in Gilo, Ramot, Neveh Ya’acov, Ramat Eshkol, French Hill, Pisgat Ze’ev, Ramat Shlomo and elsewhere. Building these Jewish neighborhoods did not harm the Arabs of east Jerusalem in any way and were not built at their expense. Nearly half of the Jewish population in Jerusalem now lives in these neighborhoods. These places are not far away; they are a few minutes’ drive from here. They are less then 6 km. from the Knesset.”
This is great! Netanyahu is sticking to his guns and rightfully so! How dare the U.S. government tell God’s chosen people what they can and cannot build. I’m glad Israel is standing firm, may God richly bless that nation and have mercy on the U.S.

Here’s a picture from this New York Times article.
As Health Vote Awaits, Future of a Presidency Waits, Too – NYTimes.com.
Jesus said that in the last days false messiahs will arise and deceive many (Matt.24:5)
The Bible also teaches “cursed is the man who trust in man and makes flesh his strength” (Jer.17:5)
So many people who are not committed to Christ have instead committed themselves to man and find themselves led away from the truth of Christ through charismatic teachers who draw disciples to themselves.
I wonder how many people put their trust in leaders like Obama and look towards him to be the savior?
I can’t help but remember guys like Jim Jones and David Koresh the charismatic teachers who drew disciples to themselves and led those disciples down a path of death. It’s tragic that so many, even in the church, would set themselves up a leader and blindly follow wherever the leader leads them.
I think that the above picture of the president speaks volumes of the spiritual condition of this nation, that so many have turned from the true and living God-Jesus Christ and look towards someone who is entertaining or a smooth talker who will make them “feel better” all the while their spiritual growth stagnates and instead of being led by the Spirit of God they’ve become lorded over by their “spiritual” mentors.
2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;
The New York Times with this recent messianic picture of the president reflects this sad reality.

I ran into this article at Joel Rosenbergs blog, he sums it up quite nicely.
http://flashtrafficblog.wordpress.com/2010/03/13/crisis-in-u-s-israel-relations/
A serious crisis erupted last week in U.S.-Israel relations. Here’s what happened and why. Here also are practical ways followers of Jesus Christ can show Israel unconditional love and unwavering support at this critical juncture.
During Vice President Biden’s trip to Jerusalem to show American support for Israel, our most faithful and enduring strategic ally in the region, some lower-level officials in the Israeli bureaucracy decided it would be a good time to announce the building of 1,600 new homes in a Jewish neighborhood of East Jerusalem. The Palestinian Authority immediately went ballistic, and the Vice President was deeply offended, telling Prime Minister Netanyahu that the timing of the announcement made the Israelis appear to be trying to sabotage the beginning to new peace talks with the Palestinians. Netanyahu immediately apologized, saying he had not authorized the announcement to be made during the VP’s trip and was not trying to derail or disrupt the VP’s trip. Biden appeared to accept the apology, and Netanyahu thought the mistake had been resolved
Of course the Obama administration has taken sides with Israel’s Arab neighbors putting the US squarely in an anti Israel position.
The article gives advice to us biblically based Christians in regard for needed prayer.

PA calls Arabs to ‘defend al Aksa’.
Top Fatah official: Israel “playing with fire” through Temple Mount “provocations.”
A senior Palestinian Authority official on Sunday called on Israeli Arabs and Palestinian residents of Jerusalem to come to al Aksa Mosque in the Old City “to protect it from Israeli schemes.”
Top Fatah official and holder of the Jerusalem portfolio Khatem Abd el-Kader called Palestinians on Sunday to “converge on al Aksa to save it” from what he called “Israeli attempts to destroy the mosque and replace it with the [Jewish] temple.”
Khader was speaking ahead of a dedication of a renovated synagogue in the Jewish Quarter in the Old City, planned to take place Tuesday.
He called Israel’s renovation of the Hurva Synagogue a “provocation” and warned Israel that it was “playing with fire.”
Police has been imposing a ban on Israeli Arabs from coming to the Temple Mount, fearing clashes might erupt. Only holders of Israeli ID cards over 50 years old were allowed into the mosque.
The closure remains in place until after the dedication of the synagogue on Tuesday.
